HOWTOFLY / AI-AUGMENTED ORGANISATIONS

Augment
your people.

HowToFly analyses your strategy, your workflows and the skills of your people. Then we find, build and roll out the tools and AI-powered workflows that help them work faster, better and more cost-efficiently.

We don't replace people. We help them fly.

Start with the strategy. Then add the magic.

STEP ONE: YOUR STRATEGY

Start with where you're going. Then find the work AI can lift.

Most AI programmes start with a tool and go looking for a problem. We start with your strategy, vision and ambitions. Then we map how work really gets done and which skills your people bring, so every tool and AI-powered workflow we add pushes in the direction you chose.

STRATEGY · WORKFLOWS · SKILLS · THE RIGHT AI IN THE RIGHT PLACE

Workflows where AI helps most: 42

AI shouldn't take the work out of people's hands. It should make those hands far more capable. One by one, and all together.
Each personAI does tasks for you, so you spend your time on the work that needs you.
The whole teamAI gets the right task to the right person, so together you achieve what nobody could alone.
Your strategyEvery tool points at your goals, so the time saved turns into real progress.

How we work

We don't just hand you a fish. We teach your people to fish.

Five steps take you from your strategy to people who use AI in their daily work.

STEP 01

Pick the fish

What does your strategy need most? We find the goals where AI can make the biggest difference.

STEP 02

Find where they swim

We look at how your teams work today and spot the tasks where AI helps most.

STEP 03

Choose the right rod

We pick the existing AI tools that fit the job. No need to reinvent what already works.

STEP 04

Build a custom rod

Only if needed

When nothing on the market does the job, we build the tool ourselves.

STEP 05

Teach people to fish

We train your people on their own work, so they keep catching long after we leave.

↺ THEN WE DO IT AGAIN, A LITTLE BETTER EACH TIME

The chats

Still wondering what we do? Read the chats.

Start with my Aunt Linda. She asks the questions everyone is thinking. Then open a client story. Our client work is confidential, so the characters are invented. The problems, the tools and the results are real.

Christmas Eve
Aunt LindaRetired librarian · asks the real questions

Sweetie, your cousin says you work with robots now.

Are you the reason my bank replaced Brenda with a machine? 🤖

Gilles · HowToFlyAI augmentation

😂 Not guilty. My company is called HowToFly. We help people work with AI, not get replaced by it.

Aunt LindaRetired librarian · asks the real questions

Explain it slowly. I'm typing with one finger. ☝️

Gilles · HowToFlyAI augmentation

Deal. Remember your job at the library?

😂
Aunt LindaRetired librarian · asks the real questions

Thirty-one years, dear. Best job in town.

Gilles · HowToFlyAI augmentation

What took up most of your time?

Aunt LindaRetired librarian · asks the real questions

Typing up the new arrivals list. Every week. Then a monthly report for the council that nobody ever read.

Gilles · HowToFlyAI augmentation

And what did you love?

Aunt LindaRetired librarian · asks the real questions

Helping people find the right book. The little boy who only read about volcanoes. The lady researching her grandfather.

💛
Gilles · HowToFlyAI augmentation

That's it exactly. AI can do a lot of the dull bits: the lists, the reports, the searching. So people get more time for the lovely bits, and do them better.

That's what we do. We look at what a company wants to achieve, how the work gets done and what people are good at. Then we find, build and set up the right AI helpers for them.

Aunt LindaRetired librarian · asks the real questions

So the computer wouldn't have taken my job?

Gilles · HowToFlyAI augmentation

No. It would have taken your Friday afternoon of typing. You'd still choose the volcano books. 🌋

Something like this: a first draft of the new-books list. You check the titles and details, then send it. Less typing; you're still in charge.

And more time for this. Finding a book that makes a child want to read. That's the part I loved. 🌋

💛

I'd have been unstoppable.

Gilles · HowToFlyAI augmentation

That's the word we use: augmented. You, plus a very fast assistant.

Quicker. Better. And cheaper for the library, because nobody spends Friday afternoon typing lists.

🎯
Aunt LindaRetired librarian · asks the real questions

But does it actually work? Outside of Christmas chats with your aunt?

Gilles · HowToFlyAI augmentation

It does. We've done this at very big companies and at small local businesses.

Researchers who get months of reading done in days. Estate agents who make a virtual tour of a house in an afternoon.

Aunt LindaRetired librarian · asks the real questions

Why didn't you just say that, sweetie? 😂

The shift

From replacing people to augmenting them.

Many AI plans start as a cost-cutting exercise or a shopping list of licences. The result is often a few pilots, a few worried people and very little change. We start with your strategy and your people, and build AI into the work so your teams get better at what they do.

The old way

AI as a shortcut

  • Starts with a tool, then goes looking for a problem
  • Treats AI mainly as a way to cut headcount
  • Runs isolated pilots that never scale
  • Leaves every employee to figure out AI alone
  • Pays outside experts every time a big question comes up
The HowToFly way

AI as an amplifier

  • Starts from your strategy, workflows and skills
  • Uses AI to make people faster, better and more capable
  • Builds tools into everyday work, so they actually get used
  • Gets the right task to the right person across the team
  • Leaves you with a capability you own, not a dependency

Why us

From global giants to local SMEs. We help them all fly.

We work with large enterprises such as Mars Snacking, Kellogg, UCB and P&G, and with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Big or small, we know how strategy, people and technology meet on a real Monday morning.

From strategy to every desk

We've united R&D teams behind one vision after an integration, and turned it into every team plan and every personal development plan. We know where it gets difficult.

We build what we recommend

We design and build our own AI tools and platforms, for research, idea tournaments and coaching, and use them live in sessions with hundreds of participants. If we suggest a tool, we've used it ourselves.

Built to stay

We hand over tools, workflows and skills your people own and understand, so the gains keep coming after we've gone.

Good questions

Frequently asked, honestly answered

What does HowToFly do?

We find out what your strategy needs most and where AI can help. We pick the right existing tools, and build custom ones only when nothing fits. Then we teach your people to use them in their own work, so they work faster, better and at lower cost.

Will AI replace our people?

That's not our approach. We use AI to augment people, not replace them. Each person gets tools that take over routine work and strengthen their skills, so your organisation gets more out of the talent it already has.

What does AI do for a whole team?

It breaks a big goal into tasks and suggests who is best placed to do each one, across teams and countries. It also collects ideas from everyone and shows progress. AI does the organising. People decide.

Do you build custom tools or use existing ones?

Both. We use existing tools wherever they do the job. We only build custom tools when nothing fits, such as a research platform that replaces months of outside consultancy work.

Who is HowToFly for?

Large enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that want AI to make a real difference to their strategy, not just run a few pilots. We've worked with global food, pharma, consumer goods and energy companies, and with small specialist businesses.

How do we start?

With a single working session. Bring one strategic ambition and one workflow that takes up too much of your team's time. We'll show where AI could make your people faster and better, and what a first tool could look like. Email gilles.rossou@howtofly.ai to book it.

Start here

Your golden ticket is a working session.

Bring one strategic ambition and one workflow that eats your team's time. Together we'll map where AI could help your people do it faster, better and at lower cost, and sketch what a first tool could look like. You'll leave with a concrete place to start. No slide decks. No obligation.
